Shapeshift X Mattina Workshops: Clay Figurines

New workshops have entered the chat, and I am EXCITED, y'all. Shapeshift is partnering with the wonderful team at Mattina in Brooklyn to host two August workshops. If you're free August 29 and looking to make your own lil' guy cutie clay figurine, stick around.

But if you're free August 8 and looking for a choose your own adventure clay hand-building experience, head over here. (And if you're feeling particularly creatively inclined, join us for both!) 

This workshop will guide you in building your very own little clay figurine (lovingly referred to as "lil' guys" in the Shapeshift universe). Pets! Pizza rats! Pigeons! Aliens! A figment of your imagination come to life! They're all welcome here. We will be working with a warm-toned, off-white stoneware.

Absolutely noooo experience is necessary and all materials are included—just show up ready to play <3

I will guide you through the basics, share tools + tips, and then set you freeee to explore and create.

Following the workshop, I will fire+glaze your pieces and they will be available for pick-up at Mattina once they're shiny, sturdy, and ready to be loved (typically ~4-6 week turnaround). 

Small bites will be provided + more food and drinks will be available for purchase.

*Ceramics is a slow, hands-on process, and each piece goes through multiple stages of drying, glazing, and firing. While I promise to take great care of your creations, the nature of clay means that cracking or breakage can sometimes occur along the way and during firing.

At this time, I'm unable to offer refunds for pieces that don’t make it through the kiln. However, if this happens, I am happy to offer 15% off a future workshop or purchase.
