About

Hiii, it’s Meg! I am a Brooklyn-based ceramicist and lighting designer and the the head of world-building here at Shapeshift.

My work with clay is playful, weaving together vibrant colors and sparkling adornments with neutral stoneware, exploring the relationship between movement and stillness. My focus is on creating moments of joy and connection within the spaces we inhabit.

I’ve always found comfort in adorning—the ritual of decorating myself and my space. It feels like an added layer of protection, preparing me for what’s to come, and reminding me of what has passed. When I started working with clay, it felt natural to add adornments there too—chains, crystals, beads, pearls, charms. Anything that made noise, reflected light, and interacted with its surroundings. Whether I’m building lighting, vessels, or small creatures (we call 'em lil' guys around here), I’m interested in creating objects that bring a sense of presence to a space, pieces that adorn the home much like jewelry adorns the body, adding moments of whimsy, comfort, and delight to everyday life.

Everything here is small-batch, handmade by yours truly, and one of one.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope we can create together soon 💖
